GID Portalplasm Cliffs Display - Amusing Mini Paranormals

I love this little shelf! Angela Pileggi of Amusing Mini Paranormals makes some amazingly fun stuff! When I saw her resin displays, I instantly needed one! Something a bit different & it created more display space for my toys! I went with the glow in the dark version(I've yet to test it's GID quality mind you), partly because I wanted more GID in my life & also because it's green & I like green(sometimes simple appeal is enough)!

Seriously though, how great is this thing? Small & easy to mount. About 7 inches tall & enough space for five 2 inch toys! Currently, I've chosen to put my Rampage Toys 'Little Unicorn' toys on the shelf. This resin is exceptionally strong! I chatted with Angela about her work & was told, she tests her resin by throwing it at the floor. I don't know if this was true or an exaggeration, but honestly it wouldn't surprise me!

I was sent a little extra gift as well! A pink glitter ecto-rex. I'm going to hold onto this little guy, maybe give it away in a contest! Really hard to capture it's shininess in a photo! I always love a free gifty & I LOVE Amusing Mini Paranormals 'drippy' styled stuff. Really fun designs!

I'm totally intending to buy a second cliff display! I'm officially saving wall space for another one! In fact, a beautiful multi-coloured shelf was shared by Amusing Mini Paranormals recently & I'm desperate to own one!

Side-note! Amusing Mini Paranormals released a new design this week! Cinemasaurus, their first new design since 2016 & it's a cutie! They're working on a bunch of other new designs at the moment as well! I highly recommend keeping an eye on their social media to see the things that come!

I've had a crappy cash-flow this year, so this is actually my first resin item of the year(a little shocking, as we're beyond the half-way mark...) & I couldn't be happier with it!

You can find Angela Pileggi & her Amusing Mini Paranormals on facebook & instagram.

Box of Goodies! - Ben Seto

I just received a lovely box of bits & pieces from Ben Seto! Owner of Black Sheep Comics & creator of 'Skullbunnies'(amongst other critters!). I've been a fan of Bens work for years, but we've only recently been communicating & he offered to send me some goodies!
SO much CUTE! Seriously, this is some adorable stuff! The little drawing was a big surprised! The reason I first contacted Ben was because of a A Clockwork Orange painting they had done years ago(it was shared on facebook). I may not have been able to acquire the painting, but I got this little cutie instead!

The stickers are amazing, they feel nice to the touch(yes, I fondled them!). I must find somewhere to slap them. The badges are fantastic too(badly placed in my photo)! I always appreciate new badges to add to my collection, especially when they're this delightfully cute!

My favourite item from this bundle, has to be the mini Skullbunny resin. Don't get me wrong, huge fan of Star Wars & the Buntrooper figure is awesome(& it came with a extra head!), but the classic style Skullbunnies have always been very appealing to me & I'm so super happy to finally have one!
These resin Skullbunnies are tiny! Only 1.75inches tall! I only have a handful of smaller resin pieces & I couldn't be happier to add these little cuties to my shelves!

You can find Benjamin Seto on facebook & instagram, or if you're heading to DCon this weekend they'll be their selling their wares(Booth 100)!

This blog is the official bounce-back since a bout of writers-block. Hopefully I'll finish up some other posts to share sooner rather then later(I may opt for a giant 'catch-up' post).

Small Wunders & GIVEAWAY - I Break Toys

I just received a lovely parcel of goodies from I Break Toys(Lisa Rae Hansen)! Most of the items aren't for me(I'll discuss that in a moment), but she was kind enough to send me a tiny little orange 'Small Wunder' resin toy & a Kyoot enamel pin!

I Break Toys recently ran a Kickstarter to try & get Kyoot produced as a vinyl toy. Tragically they didn't reach their goal, but I think it's a fantastic character & I hope they try again! In the meantime this pin is a welcome addition to my life!

The tiny Small Wunder critter is just adorable! It's about 1 inch tall. I only have one other resin toy that size & oddly enough Lisa Rae Hansen was the one who cast & painted it(Power5 'Burnt Out' by Alto)! So happy to add another tiny toy to my collection! It's too darn cute!

I had originally communicated with Lisa about her tiny Small Wunders figures early last year(they were available at TOYCONUK last year I believe) & had completely forgotten to follow-up about them.
For those who don't know, I run a group on facebook called 'Resin Toy Obsession'. My group is due to reach 1000 members within the next week or two! In preparation(& desperation) for that milestone, I wanted something really brilliant for a Giveaway. I Break Toys was the first to come to mind & so I finally got back to her about my long-gone inquiry about some toys. She gladly offered to contribute something for the group & boy did she deliver!

Rather then the tiny versions of her Small Wunders, she sent a complete set of her original full-size 'Small Wunders' series. Hopless The Sad Bunny, The Way Up, Kookie & Just Looking. A very fun set of toys, ranging from about 2inches to 2.5inches in height & each piece is limited to only 5! I couldn't be more excited about this contest & I'm so happy with this amazingly generous contribution to my group!

If you'd like to check out I Break Toys work, you can find them on instagram, facebook or you can check out their website!

If you're as excited about the giveaway as I am, my group is always open to new resin connoisseurs! You can find Resin Toy Obsession on facebook!

Pug U - 3rd Planet (Chatpakon Spng)

Who doesn't love pug dogs? 3rd Planet(Chatpakon Spng) has created a truly unique toy! These little cuties can be mixed & matched! I had to buy two, just so I could play! These little Pugs are about 2 inches tall & 3 inches long in size. They were only about $13.50 AUD each, which is a VERY reasonable price.

These aren't the most refined toys I've ever bought, but they're quite fun. I love an interactive toy & I bought two specifically for that purpose. Perhaps it's due to the period I grew up in, but inter-changeable toys are very appealing to me & it's always fun when you can actually 'play' with your toys!

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the packaging. Basic sealable baggies. No header cards, no business cards or stickers. Just my toys in a box. Though admittedly, WELL packaged! Layers & layers of bubble wrap & tiny styrofoam beads... which I spilled everywhere... In my personal opinion though, packaging is all part of the process & these were greatly lacking in that regard.

I think this might be my first toy from Thailand. The toy community over there is growing like crazy & I endlessly see creative work from that corner of the world. I hope to acquire many more toys from Thailand in the future!

I really love the touch of pink in their middle sections. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but I believe it's a wonderful contrast colour & these toys are a beautiful example. I'm almost tempted to display them in pieces, just to emphasise their pink insides.

3rd Planet has teased a few other colours lately. Clear vinyl, a pink/blue marble version etc. I find the blanks very appealing(perhaps because they're shiny). As much as I feel a little indifferent about these first two, I'm still oddly tempted to buy more(which really, makes me question my slightly unenthusiastic opinion of these toys)!

3rd Planet doesn't have a website, but you can find them on facebook & instagram!

Handsome Studio - TTL (Cute Snout)

Back in October last year Handsome Studio shared something new. TTL(Cute Snout), an adorably phallic, cat/peach critter(you can read about the original prototype on The Toy Chronicle). From my understanding, the design wasn't intended to be suggestive.

In Handsome Studio's own words:

The TTL(Cute Snout) is a combination of the cat’s snout and peach.
I am always with a cat.
The cutest part of a cat is a snout.
As a child, peaches were expensive and could not be eaten.
Now the most precious thing to me and the lack of childhood are purely harmonious

However, I instantly saw it's inappropriate nature & it will always be a cute penis to me!

This little cutie is my first resin toy of the year & for something only 2.5 inches long, it's a beautifully rendered little thing! Handsome Studio obviously has some incredible skill working with resin. Not a air bubble in sight & sanded down to a perfectly smooth surface!
The Cute Snout is also beautifully painted. Shades of pink with a hint of sparkle. Generally I'm not a big fan of glittery paints, but this toys shine is so subtle I find it quite appealing.

This was actually one of my first purchases of the year, but it was missing some decals for it's eyes/whiskers/anus that were meant to come with it. Those arrived a couple of days ago.
I considered applying the decals before taking my photos, I hesitated however. I don't have the steady hand of a seasoned artist & I'm concerned my applications will make my Cute Snout appear a bit cockeyed(Hehehehe see what I did there?).

Besides the decals, this toy came with lots of fun little extras! Postcards & product cards, stickers & a awesome 2 inch badge! I really love the Cute Snout art on all the extras. That is one adorable little character!

The product card reads:

- Just a combination of a cat's snout and peach. But somehow sexual and cute?! -

TTL(Cute Snout) has been made in an endless array of colours(Handsome Studio is also working on more 'TTL World' designs!). I settled on the original, but I'm still super eager to gain some more! The clear versions & the white splattered(semen splattered?) version are probably my next Cute Snout goals!

TTL(Cute Snout) is still available to purchase, you can find them on etsy & ebay

Space Dog - Han Ning

My last toys of 2016! Space Dog by Han Ning. Back in February Han Ning released his "Space Boy", which came with a little companion 'Space Dog'. Due to overwhelming popularity, Han Ning started working on a set of Space Dog designs! These were originally announced back in July, but due to demand, they've been factory produced & they took a few months to make.

These are limited to 300 sets & are some seriously adorable toys! Da wang(yellow), Qiu qiu(blue) & Xiao tian(pink), I had to have all three! They were also impressively packaged(a box, within a box, with padded envelopes for each toy), just how I like my resin! And yes, even their helmets are resin!

I'm so grateful Han Ning took the time to e-mail me once these were available. The colours & the overall cuteness of these makes me super happy! The perfect set of toys to end a pretty crappy year!

Everyone needs a set of these in their life! They are still available & you can pick up your own set of these cuties, they're $25USD each: Taobao

I've been told there will be another Space Dog released later in 2017 too! Can't wait to see what else Han Ning comes up with!

You can find Han Ning on instagram tumblr or check out their blog

Bukkake - Electric Monarchy

It's probably quite obvious that I enjoy the occasional dirty/inappropriate toy. Recently Art Whore listed a toy in their store that fit that description. Honestly the toy name 'Bukkake' was enough to get my attention! I just had to have one!

A lot of people were involved in the creation of this little cum-pile. The original design is by Fintism(Electric Monarchy) & this is their very first toy! It was sculpted by Macsorro & casted by TRU:TEK. It's cast in 'rubber resin'(don't ask me what that is, but it's what the packaging says!) & seriously just an amazing design concept & beautifully rendered!

Luckily I learn of the existence of this toy before it was sold out(which it now is). Exclusive to Art Whore, this GID version was limited to only 25.

Every purchase of Bukkake came with a bonus toy(from random series). I must be lucky as I was sent a bunch of extra goodies! The black coated rubber head is particularly awesome(though i'm also rather fond of the red bear-head M.U.S.C.L.E. man)!

I tried to get a photo of Bukkake glowing, but my lack of photography skills killed that idea. You can find some great glow pics on the Electric Monarchy Instagram page however!

I couldn't be happier with this chubby little keshi! The attention to detail in the sculpt is stunning! It's also nice to add something disgusting & glowy to my collection.

You can find Fintism(Electric Monarchy) Instagram, Twitter or their website.
You can find Art Whore on facebook & Instagram. Or visit their website or store!

Sammy - Sado Friend - Greenbag Toys

Probably the cutest little sadistic fellow ever envisioned! Sammy is the creation of Greenbag Toys(Chester Greenbag). One of a handful of characters he's been working on & refining for years, but the first to be brought to life in toy form.

The time and attention to detail on this toy really help emphasise how much these characters mean to their creator. I think Sammy is a brilliant design. I love his tiny head, his ample belly, his chunky boots, he's just adorable! Sammy is made from resin & about 4 inches tall & just a super fun little guy! I really struggle to express how much I love this toy!

I couldn't be happier to finally have my hands on Sammy! This is probably my favourite toy from the last couple of years. I finally had the money to pay for him & now he's mine!
This photo sucks, it really doesn't show off the brilliant packaging on Sammy! He even came with stickers for customisation!
As this photo shows, I also received a fantastic custom Sammy. You can see more photos & read more about him here: Clockwork Banana - Sammy - Sado Friend

Sammy has now found a home amongst my more risqué toys. It seemed a suitable place for him.

I received a couple of prints & a postcard as well! They're a great variety of Sammy designs! I seriously love Greenbag Toys design style & these bring a smile to my face! Hopefully I'll have some frames soon to hang them up. You can't go wrong with a bit of Ultraviolent & naked Sammy on your walls!

Now I'm eagerly awaiting the recently teased plushy version of Sammy! I predict he'll be even more adorable in plush form! He'll be great for a snuggle & the perfect someone to whisper all your little depravities to!

I couldn't recommend this toy more! I'm unsure if many/any Sammys are still available, but if you want one(& you should!) you can find more info or contact Greenbag Toys on facebook & instagram

Fluff Critter & Stuff - Cult Mini-Figures

I'm just loving this monstrosity from Cult Mini-Figures(Steve Moffatt)! A very kind gift & a very epic custom toy! Just loving this crazy 'Fluff Critter'(the name I've gone with on this crazy freak)!

One of two toys I received from Cult Mini-Figures & just an incredibly insane toy! You can read more about the other toy in more detail here: Droogimus Prime & Stuff - Cult Mini-Figures

I've always found picket sign toys appealing & after seeing a similar critter Steve made(which is currently owned by The Toy Finder), I had to have one & pleaded for my own fluff monster!

I couldn't be happier with the result! This thing is mental(& that's a good thing)! Fluffy, asymmetrical, protesting humanity & one of a kind. Really couldn't ask for more!
You can find more of Steve's awesome work on facebook & Instagram

Plague Oracle - Smoke Veil Edition - Daniel Yu

Continuing my obsession with the work of Daniel Yu, I received my 2nd Plague Oracle today. The Plague Oracle sculpt is my latest favourite from Daniel Yu, they go beautifully with my past Daniel Yu acquisitions & the little hand accessories are just an awesome little bonus!
This latest Plague Oracle is part of Daniels recent 'Smoke Veil' series. Each figure was limited to 20 pieces.

Photo by Daniel Yu - Left to Right - Wilbur, Plague Oracle, Lunar Creep & Darwin

I'm a huge fan on Daniels blank editions. As much as I also greatly respect his skill with paint, sometimes I think it distracts from the beauty & detail of his sculpting. Also being a fan of black & red, in this particular case I couldn't resist adding to my collection.

Differing from my first Plague Oracle which came with a mini skull accessory, this new one includes 3 accessories! A anatomical heart, a rose & a little pile of poo! These accessories are no exception in regards to Daniels amazing attention to detail. My photos do not do them justice!

I cannot wait to add more Plague Oracles to my collection in the future! I'm also eager to see what new characters Daniel Yu will add to his repertoire!
For those hoping to add any of the 'shadow veil' editons to their own collection - Darwin(the fox) has sold out, but the other 3 designs are still currently available in Daniels store here.
You can also check out Daniels past work on his website or follow him on Facebook & Instagram

Gasser Skull - Gasser Garage

Before I share the awesome toy I received today, I just want to point out a few things, before one of my readers does :P
It's been a long while since I made a blog post here, I feel it's time to get back into it! I really want to try & refine the content a little more, truly focusing on just art & art toys(this includes trying to reduce any photos with other non-art/art toys stuff within the picture).
I've updated the look of my blog, it's much more colourful now!. I've also added a bunch of social media buttons(including an e-mail button, for anyone wanting to contact me), created a new header(though honestly not sure I'm 100% satisfied with it yet) & organised my website/blog links. Still working on little details, but much happier with it overall.
Hope you all enjoy the changes, now on to my kickass new toy!

A while back I become aware of Gasser Garage(possibly in my resin group on facebook, I don't remember). I instantly found their Gasser Skull design appealing. A great combination of design concepts, made from resin(a personal favourite when it comes to toy materials) & super colourful!
Just recently Gasser Garage shared a new image on their facebook page.

Generally a photo on Facebook doesn't make me rush to buy something, but Gasser Garage emphasised the fact there was only 10 of this variety left! I HAD to have one!
After some quick communication to organise shipping & a deep mental conflict over what colour I should choose, my order was made! After a couple of weeks waiting, here it is!

Tragically my photography skills just don't do this toy justice! The colours are amazing! I'm actually tempted to order another! It's really just such a fun design & honestly who doesn't love a good skull toy? I also love the graphics on the packaging, such wonderful attention to detail!
I'm glad to add another toy from South America to my collection & it was a pleasure to deal with such a friendly & talented artist! I'm glad I took the time to reach out & inquire about Gasser Garages fantastic work!

Graffiti Anatomy - Creo Design

Just a quick post about an upcoming toy release. Creo Design has outdone himself again, another truly amazing piece of work! Graffiti Anatomy, his latest mind-blowing creation, is simply awe inspiring.

"Forget about Grey's Anatomy, Creo brings to life a concept born from streets. For years graffiti artist have been producing mind-blowing murals and canvas using their preferred spray can as an extension of their own body. Every artist has his or her own preferred choice of 'can' but have you ever wondered what is hidden beneath the cold aluminium case?

Manufactures insist that you should never pierce or dismantle the can regardless if it is empty or not. Wise words indeed because when Creo's curiosity took over and he opened his last empty spray can he couldn't believe what he discovered inside.

Beneath the cold aluminium 'skin' lies a full spinal cord and skull 'cap'.

It is true what has been said for years that spray cans are living objects brought to life in an artists hands. The myths of steel ball bearings used to mix the paint are bogus - when you shake the can it is the vertebrae knocking together that makes the can rattle, wakening the can to life and producing the beautiful flow of paint."

I cannot believe the detail in this sculpture. I've been watching the creation process for months on Creo Designs Facebook page, the anticipation had been gnawing at me, I'm now just praying I actually get the opportunity to own one! Due for release on the 22nd of Jan, at 9pm GMT. Good luck to everyone!
